Cricut Machine Comparison

Looking for a Cricut Machine? There are currently three available models - the original Personal Electronic Cutter, the Expression, and the Cricut Create:

Keep reading for a brief summary of each model...

The Personal Electronic Cutter

The Personal Electronic Cutter, often referred to as the "Baby Bug", is capable of making die cuts ranging in size from 1" to 5-1/2", in half inch increments. Although it lacks some of the special modes and functions of its big brother, the Expression, it continues to be a popular choice among crafters. Like the other Cricut machines, the Personal Electronic Cutter is cartridge-based and does not require a computer to operate. It has a suggested retail price of $299.99, but you should be able to find it here for less!

The Create

The newest model to join Provo Craft's die cutter family, the Create was being sold exclusively through Michael's Craft Stores, but now it's more widely available. Crafters love the fact that it combines the functionality of the Expression machine with the portability of the Personal Electronic Cutter. The Create can make cutouts from 1/4" to 11-1/2" in size, in quarter inch increments. It has an eight way multi-directional blade, as well as other useful features. The Create has a MSRP of $399.99, but there's a good chance you will find it here for much less!

The Expression

We conducted a poll on this website to find out which die cut machine was the most popular among our visitors. The Expression won by a mile! Of course, we weren't surprised, considering that this model really does it all (and then some!). For starters, it can create die cuts ranging in size from 1/4" up to 23-1/2". It also has several special functions and modes, which make cutting a breeze. The suggested retail price of this model is $499.99, but there's no reason you should pay that much, when you can check out the deals we have here!

Don't forget about used...
