I purchased two on-line subscriptions in Nov. 2011. I was able to access both of them in December but am not able to get to them now (Feb. 2012). I am also unable to get to the on-line support that they have listed. Did my $13.90 go down the drain? I hope not. I'll call the 822 number to see if some can assist. I loved what I saw, and used some of thie ideas for Christmas. Big hit with my family and friends. I want to use for Valentine's and Thanks You's and the like. Come on Cricut!

I was wondering why you are taking the paper backing off of the fabric before you cut it? I used the double-sided iron on Heat and Bond, but left the paper backing on, placing the fabric against the mat. I was cutting out silver lame for a project for my daughter for show choir. It worked perfectly. I removed the paper backing just before ironing it onto a fabric headband that I had made. I loved it.

I would like to adhere vinyl to wine glasses, such as zebra print. I have purchased outdoor vinyl. Is there any where that sells zebra stripes or is there a way to cut them on my cricut machine? Also, do you know if outdoor vinyl is dishwasher safe?

Hi Lucy,

Unfortunately, I'm U.S.-based, so I'm not sure what is available in the UK. You may want to try sending an email to Cricut customer support (support@cricut.com) to see if they can provide you with the name of suppliers in your area...

1.) Cut stencil..cut through the Vinyl ( or contact paper) AND the backing.
2.) Weed - In the case of a stencil-remove the design from the larger piece of vinyl. Your design should be the void or holes in your stencil.
3.) Use transfer tape over entire stencil.
4.) Peel off the BACKING from the stencil...center, level and stick it to your substrate (whatever you are putting your design on)
5.) Now remove the transfer tape from the FRONT.
6.) Your design will be ready for you to paint , etch, etc.

Once your design is complete, dry, cleaned so forth...remove the stencil and your design will be left on your substrate!

NOTE: Use an adequate piece of vinyl, not something TOO big for your item I.E. If you are cutting letters that fit in a 2x6 space...use a 3x7 piece of vinyl. Otherwise you will be wasting LOTS of transfer tape.
