Who's ready for the big Super Bowl game this weekend? I know we are - big Colts fans here! Anyway, I thought I would put up a quick post about the pair of helmets I made with the Cricut Sports Mania cartridge. First things first, here's a picture...

My twelve year old needed these for a school project, and of course, his mom (yep, that's me!) looks for *any* reason to go play with her scrapbooking tools. Anyway, these were super simple to make, and my son and his classmates were thrilled with how they turned out.
If you are hosting a Super Bowl party this weekend, these helmets would make cute decorations. I used the Cricut Sports Mania cartridge to make the helmets in the team colors, and then printed off the team logos on cardstock from pictures I found online.
Although I didn't use SCAL to make the logos, I certainly could have. I would have just needed to convert the logos to an svg file before cutting with the Cricut. However, with or without SCAL, these are quick and easy to make.
My twelve year old has been wanting to redecorate his room with an NFL theme. We have been talking about getting a Colts fathead for this bedroom wall, but after finishing this project, I think we'll just make our own. After seeing these two helmets, he actually wants me to make a border of helmets for his room, representing all the NFL teams. It sounds like a lot of work, but we'll see - maybe if I do just a couple a week.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the game. Regardless of who wins, I think it's a good match up and will be a lot of fun to watch (commercials included!). Have a good weekend, and make sure to set aside a little time for crafting!
