I have taught school for 20 years. I just saw your clipboard idea and I wanted to leave a comment. I LOVE THEM! I love to recieve personal gifts from families of my students. I cherish them and when I use them always think of the student that gave the item to me. Awesome idea! You could also Mod Podge your child’s school picture and put the year under it on one of the bottom corners of the clipboard. That way for years to come the teachers will remember your child with fond memories. I have a lap desk that a family gave me the first year I taught school. The student’s picture and year are in the corner of the desk. I still use the desk and my children use it as well. I always think of Jason when I pick it up and see the sweet picture his mother added to the bottom of the desk. :) Thanks for sharing!

Hi Sandy, Thanks for the tip! I will have to give the furniture cleaner a try next time. To be honest, I can’t stand the smell of Goo Gone (it’s so strong) – I’m glad to know there’s an alternative.

If you dont have goo be gone you can also use a furniture cleaner that has lemon oil in it it will work just as well.

I loved the ideas. I have done clipboards before. My grandkids will love the bottle idea next week. I will help them make something for their mother, I hope.
