Which Christmas Cartridge for the Cricut is Your Favorite?
Posted by: Dawn In: Fun with Cartridges ()
Well, my craft area looks like a tornado hit, and instead of cleaning it up (like I should be doing), I decided to get online and find out which Christmas cartridge for the Cricut is everyone's favorite. I know, it's tough to pick just one, isn't it - especially after all the additions that the Provo Craft Company has made to the collection just in the last year!
I think if I had to pick my favorite, it would be the new Winter Woodland cartridge. I keep reaching for it when I have something to make. Here's a picture of one of three tags that I made with it last night...

The other two tags look much the same - just the snowflake cut and the initial are different. I'm using these tags on my nieces' presents. They were super simple to make. I just used Winter Woodland's tag and font creative features, did a little embossing on the top layer, glued everything together, and added a heart fastener for a little bling - that's it!
As a side note, I made the bow on this present using a Bowdabra maker. If you don't have one of these gizmos yet, get one! They're not expensive at all (especially if you can use a coupon at Michaels or Joanns). I love mine, and have been going "bow crazy" this year. I even made the topper for our Christmas tree this year with it.
Well, I'm quickly getting off track, so back to the topic: which Christmas cartridge for the Cricut is your favorite?
As I already mentioned, there's the new Winter Woodland. It's getting my vote!
There's also the new Seasonal cartridges - When It's Cold Outside, Snow Friends, and Very Merry Tags. If you're not familiar with these carts, they offer a limited number of cutouts, but they are very affordable! I don't have any yet, but I have been debating picking up Snow Friends, just because I adore snowmen!
There's also two oldies but goodies - Joys of the Season and Christmas Cheer. I love both of these cartridges! Joys of the Season is more traditional, while Christmas Cheer takes a more whimsical approach (or should I say "Who-ville-ish"!).
There's also the Cricut Solutions Christmas cartridge. I don't have this one, but it looks like it offers some good traditional style holiday cutouts.
Of course, there's at least a dozen more carts I could name (A Child's Year, Stretch Your Imagination, Designer's Calendar, etc.), but I think I have rambled on long enough. Anyway, if you have a little time, leave a comment below naming your favorite Christmas cartridge for the Cricut...
